Precious Memories
This page is dedicated to the very special Mastiffs that have enriched my life. They will be forever remembered and truly treasured in my heart. CH. WARMASTER ESPECIAL ENVY (Amy) Amy was my very first Mastiff. I just adored her devoted nature and gentleness. I showed Amy to her Championship title, but stopped showing her after she decided that she didn't like those hairy Afghans with their hair nets on. She attracted attention wherever she went, and drew heaps of admirers. She also achieved her Obedience Certificate, although slower than the speedy dogs, she managed to get there. Amy was my true guardian and staunch protector, she knew it was her duty to protect me, even from the young policeman that pulled me over for a licence check - she rocked the car barking at him, he let me go quickly and ran back to his car ! Sadly, Amy was put down at 6 years of age, she told me that it was the time to go, and I knew that I had to do what she wanted. Amy had a brilliant hipscore of 4. She never gave me any babies, but I got more than I needed from her, just having her in my life was more than enough. Rest in peace my precious girl....Glenda.
Emma was the foundation bitch of Mastdav Mastiffs (later to be known as Grangeview Mastiffs). She possessed everything that I wanted in a bitch. A good and balanced hipscore of 4 + 4 = 8/AVA, elbows 0 +2. A beautiful head, perfect topline, perfect bite, massive hindquarters, and just a generally massive bitch. Her movement was fluid and powerful with purpose and drive in her stride. She was initially mated to Weordian of Lymehall (N.Z), and produced a beautiful litter of 2 puppies, Danny was one of them. Her second mating was with Faynad Hercules (IMP. U.K.), a gorgeous rich apricot boy. She had an exceptional litter of 5 puppies to Hercules (Maverick, Magnum, Macy, Madison and Marmalade). We were hoping for some rich apricot colours from that litter, but to our delight, all the puppies carried Hercules' true rich colouring. Emma was shown to her Championship title, which she achieved at 14 months. She was my devoted companion, and just adored me immensely. She did everything she could to please me, and loved nothing better than having a good cuddle up. Without Emma, Grangeview Mastiffs wouldn't be where it is today. She was a major contributor to my breeding programme. She is sorely missed, forever in my heart, and a brave companion and friend to the end. Emma. My darling girl ... Glenda My Danny was a very special boy. He was one of two surviving puppies in a litter of 10 sired by Weordian of Lymehall (N.Z.) (David), Dam Warmaster Gold Glory (Emma). He had a world class hipscore of 2/106 AVA, elbows 0/2. His movement was fluid and powerful with plenty of drive. His topline was perfect, with a huge body and massive chest of 48 inches, his head was exceptional which measured 32 inches, and he had a perfect scissor bite. To say that he loved everyone would be an understatement ! He was one of the gentlest and kindest dogs that I have ever had the priviledge of owning and breeding. He was a true softie and a real gentleman. He had an aura and a presence about him and he attracted a fanclub wherever he went. Danny was awarded an Intermediate in Group during his short show career, which was a great thrill for me and my kennel, and a special bonus knowing that I had bred him. Danny died in tragic circumstances just before his 4th birthday, just as he was coming into his prime. His death hit me very hard as it was such a shock to lose such a young healthy dog. He is truly missed, but he will live on forever in my heart and will always be treasured in my mind. He was my hero, my beloved "Danny Dog"..... Glenda
